About me
My name is Melissa Meglic, and I am currently in the final year of my bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at FH Joanneum in Graz.
I believe that as a designer, you need a broad repertoire of skills to create change in various fields and understand the entire design development process. My motivation to connect people with simple, sustainable designs or to influence them in a positive way led me to my studies. I want to use the knowledge I’ve acquired to create things that lead to – perhaps small – but nevertheless significant – changes.
In individual projects and assignments, I’ve been able to learn a lot in graphic design, rendering, and photography. Thanks to my part-time job alongside my studies, I’ve also been able to gain experience in UI-UX design. I also see my personal artistic development as an advantage for certain visual representations.
I’m aware that there’s still room for improvement in everything I do. However, this knowledge doesn’t discourage me; I see it as an opportunity. Being a designer means failing: It means developing ideas, discarding ideas, taking the first steps toward implementation, experimenting, and always being aware that something might not work out right away. Design is a process. It’s constantly evolving.
Design means learning: It’s like a never-ending journey, and I’m ready to take it.
